Dr. Shreya Choudhury, PhD

Experience

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Choudhury is the founder and lead psychologist at the Mind & Society Research Group, a Delhi-based practice focusing on community-centric mental health initiatives. She has spearheaded multiple mental health awareness campaigns in rural and urban India, developing low-cost intervention frameworks for schools and communities.

Her previous role as a Senior Research Fellow at the South Asian Council for Mental Health allowed her to collaborate on cross-border studies examining the impact of socio-cultural factors on mental wellbeing in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. She is also a consultant for several digital mental health platforms, where she helps develop culturally-adapted therapeutic content.

Education

Dr. Choudhury holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi, India. She was awarded her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Her doctoral research focused on resilience factors in adolescent mental health. She completed a clinical internship at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, and a postdoctoral fellowship in cross-cultural psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
